See you soon(ish)

Thankyou to all who've followed tinkers antics in 2013.

He will be back in 340 days time, until then

Much love x x x

It's Christmas!

So Christmas Eve came, to celebrate tinkers last day with us we started with a North Pole breakfast.

We had Santa strawberries and Christmas tree shaped cinemmon, Apple and chocolate croissants.

The boys really enjoyed drinking from their snowman straws

Before getting on to opening their presents!
Gruffalo slippers, a swimming fish, North Pole styled cutlery and new pjs!
After that, we finally ate! We had a lovely family day before saying goodbye to tinker, having a bath with our fish and putting on our lovely new pjs to wait for Santa to visit.

We're getting there...

It's nearly Christmas time...tinkers still a little bit miffed that there's no Christmas tree to celebrate with so he thought he'd have a go at making his own!

Man cave

So tinker thought as it was going to be an all male house today, he'd best create a man cave.

Que pillows, sheepskin rug and two wind up torches and the scene is set...

Red nose reunion!

Tinker was missing his North Pole buddy, so thought he'd make our house more a home from home....
And decided everyone should have a red nose today..... :)

Tea with teddies?

Tinker invited the lady bears round for a cup of tea and a catch up on what's been happening at the North Pole since they left Santa.

He even splashed out on some mini party rings....!

Santa story time

Tinker is missing home a little so decided he'd read all his new friends a book about Santa and some of his wonderful adventures.

Run, run as fast as you can...

You can't catch me I'm a gingerbread man!

Or at least Tinker was trying to do an impression of laying around with them this morning!

Carols at Christmas

What would Christmas be without a carol service....

Tinker gathered the toys for a few carols while the rest of the house slept.

Peek-a-boo

Wow, tinker was overrun with new friends yesterday so he thought he'd help everyone get to know each other with some ice-breaker games!

Here he is playing peek-a-boo with cooper and Watson!

Birthday boys

Today was Noah and Miles' 2nd birthday, so tinker filled the living room with Christmas balloons! It was fantastic fun and the boys had to be persuaded to stop playing long enough to open some presents.
The boys then decided it would be fun to pop the balloons and laughed hysterically each time one went pop!

Quietly counting..

Today is the calm before the whirlwind of wrapping paper that will be the boys 2nd birthday. Tinker and Santa took time out to chill, throwing snowballs into numbered cups to see who could get the most points....

The prize.....pride. The looser....is going to need a lot of puff!

Christmas cards

Today the boys woke to Christmas cards from Tinker

They showed a lovely festive self portrait and a Christmas tree. The boys then made a start on their cards...
We might be here a while.....

Cook for Christmas

So Christmas is all about celebrating Jesus' birthday...and well, what's a birthday without cake!

Tinker tried to make some, but was too busy eating the ingredients
And the boys didn't do much better

But we did end up with 6 lovely cakes eventually :)

Train time

The So this morning the boys found tinker on a train!! He was very excited, getting followed by Mickey.

What was even more exciting was the news that we were all going on a train today to see Santa!

The boys were very happy to be on the train, less happy to be photographed.
Miles was happy at getting a gift from Santa.
And Noah was loving his teddy he was given.
But then it was time for us to get off the train and Santa choo chooed off into the sunset.

The sheriffs in town

So today tinker turned sherif. He got on his police motorcycle and made sure those pesky penguins weren't traveling to fast.

He then explained to Noah and Miles that the house is now decorated for Christmas, so they shouldn't touch the penguins or the decorations or the tree. The boys seem to like the decorations, Santa on the lawn is a particular favourite as is Santa and the raindeers that's above the toilet door. They also still love love love their motorbike - they are getting much better at taking it in turns oh and riding standing up!! I'm not sure what tinker thinks of that behaviour though!

Spell it out...

So Tinker must have felt a little peckish last night as this morning we discovered he'd raided the boys cereal cupboard.

The boys loved getting an early morning snack, and gave him a big hug when they were told what it said!!

More tree love

Today, tinker brought another tree based gift...this time real one, well nearly

He got the boys a grow your own Christmas tree plant. According to the packet we should have a tree in 3 weeks!!

Tinker also tried hiding for the first time today...

He was in the den, playing with some jigsaw pieces when the boys got up today.

O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree...

The sight of a new tree greeted the boys this morning...it was a Christmas tree made of books!!
And not just any books...they were Christmas books!

Tinker was busy reading duck and goose, which is probably just as well, as I don't think he'll get another look in on that one now that Noah and Miles have seen it!

Hopefully these will keep the boys amused for sometime!!!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas??

So last night Tinker had become a little crafty...

He'd prepped and started to make lovely paper chains. Then this afternoon, Noah, Miles and Mummy made lots and lots. The boys thoroughly enjoyed it. They kept wanting to make them longer and longer - that favourite word "more" was on constant repeat! We hung them from the curtain pole, and draped them on the tree.....then after 3 seconds of admiration....down they came :) they then enjoyed dragging them along behind them as they ran around, and around the sofa....before eventually finding the joy in pulling every link apart!!!

So unfortunately, we have no photos to show you of a decorated living room....we just were left with a mess! Oh for a lazier day tomorrow!!!

Care for a game of cards?

This morning we discovered Tinker, Mickey, Simba and Teddy playing a game of Christmas Snap!!

So the boys have thoroughly enjoyed learning to recognise snowmen, raindeers, Santa, Elves, Gingerbread men and Christmas trees. Although they do now think Noddy is an elf...because he does have a pointy hat that jingle jangles....maybe they have a point!

And for those who wanted to know what Christmas jumpers Tinker gave the boys yesterday....here are my three mischief makers!

What had Tinker done today?

So after discovering Tinker who was waiting outside their room this morning with gifts. Noah, Miles and Tinker came down stairs to discover Tinker had changed the ball pool balls to a very festive red and green!!

What were those gifts???
Ahh, they were lovely Christmas Jumpers, with a picture of Santa on them, I case Tinker felt home sick. I think he's more likely to be sick from being violently shaken by two very excited toddlers, but I'm not about to say no to two boys in Christmas jumpers!!
